Happy Bandcamp Friday- The 24 hour clock to save is already ticking! This Friday, we feature 5 tapes from 5 bands spanning the history of our label. You can get tapes from Ben & Keely, Dowsing, En Garde, Expert Timing, and The Reptilian for just $5 a tape. We have also made ALL digital name your price, which includes the new The Goalie's Anxiety at the Penalty Kick album that just came out last week! On top of that, you can now pre-order the new Drunk Uncle album "O, brittle weather!" on vinyl that comes out later this month and stream the singles we have released so far. We've also added a new sale where you can get 5 random cassettes for just $20 or 5 12" vinyl releases for $50. Try your luck for some great releases!
Today's cassette sale features:
- Ben & Keely "The Tell-Tale Party Noise": Did you know we released an album from Ben of The Goalie's Anxiety last year? Ben teams up with his wife, Keely to create a lo-fi masterpiece in the vein of Carissa's Wierd, Mount Eerie, and Red House Painters
- Dowsing "Still Don't Care": Dowsing (members of Pet Symmetry) is still alive and kicking (13 years since their first release!), so it's no surprise they have released a lot of music. "Still Don't Care" is a collection of demo's and B-Sides from their second album "I Don't Even Care Anymore" and it still hits the same as the day it came out. FFO: The Weakerthans, The Promise Ring
- En Garde "Debtors": Another band that features members of other CYLS bands (this one has Andy from Annabel), En Garde was a two-piece band in the styling of Thrice and Say Anything. Good stuff!
- Expert Timing "Whichever, Whatever": This CYLS debut finds the band doing what they do best- writing good pop songs with a punk/alternative edge that always get stuck in your head. FFO: Hey Mercedes, The Anniversary, Hot Rod Circuit
