Bio

In music, through changing forms and dynamics, emotion can be expressed any number of ways. Whether it through a vocal, a lyric, a shimmering guitar or a crashing breakdown, Driving On City Sidewalks portray music at its most powerful and primal. Where Angels Crowd To Listen is a beautiful exercise that speaks to the universal emotions conjured through music’s extraordinary reach. With three songs that showcase vocals and two songs that speak to the band’s instrumental prowess, Driving On City Sidewalks successfully span the musical spectrum.

Driving On City Sidewalks was born in a basement and formed out of a genuine love for music and an inherent need to create. Building his craft slowly, Driving On City Sidewalks founder Barry Mielke painstakingly constructed the beginning layers of what would eventually make up Where Angels Crowd To Listen. Enlisting his good friend, Darryl Silvestri, Driving On City Sidewalks was finally born.

On the title track, Silvestri sings “Where angels crowd to listen to the fewest words so full of hope”. It is one of many moving statements Driving On City Sidewalks make on Where Angels Crowd To Listen and once again speaks to the everlasting strength of the band’s songs. When the final bell tolls and we leave this earth, it is comforting to know that music will still be playing in our absence. Driving On City Sidewalks create accordingly.
